Our client is a globally recognized multinational corporation in the retail industry with its Regional Headquarters in Singapore, supporting markets across Asia.
They are seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to lead HR operations in Singapore while partnering with regional stakeholders. This role will oversee the local retail workforce across boutiques, manage a lean HR team, and act as a key HR business partner to both Singapore and regional leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for Singapore retail operations, including boutique staff and store leadership
- Support workforce planning aligned with business growth and regional strategies
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines within the luxury retail market
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a high-performance, service-driven culture aligned with luxury brand standards
- Manage employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary processes
- Drive engagement initiatives across boutiques and corporate teams
3. Performance Management & Development
- Implement and drive performance management frameworks across retail and corporate teams
- Coach store managers and functional leaders on performance and people development
- Support succession planning and talent development across Singapore and regional roles
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee compensation structures, including retail incentives and commission schemes
- Ensure alignment with regional frameworks and local market competitiveness
5. Compliance & HR Policies
- Ensure compliance with Singapore employment laws and statutory requirements
- Align local HR policies with regional and global standards
6. Training & Organizational Development
- Drive onboarding and continuous learning initiatives focused on service excellence and brand experience
- Support leadership development and regional organizational initiatives
7. HR Operations & Reporting
- Oversee HR operations, including payroll coordination, HR systems, and reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely HR data management for both local and regional reporting
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of HR generalist experience, with managerial experience in retail or luxury retail preferred
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience partnering with regional stakeholders or supporting multi-country HR initiatives is highly preferred
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate in a regional HQ environment
- Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, client-centric organization
