Job Description

The Regional Head & Senior Vice President, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) is a senior leadership role responsible for strengthening the Group's governance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance and organisational resilience across the region.

Operating within one of the world's largest and most geographically diverse hospitality groups, the role provides independent leadership and oversight of the regional GRC framework while partnering closely with business leaders to enable responsible, sustainable and commercially sound growth.

The SVP will establish an integrated approach to identifying, assessing, mitigating and monitoring enterprise risks across a complex hospitality ecosystem encompassing hotel operations, owners, guests, employees, suppliers, technology platforms, regulators and multiple jurisdictions.

The role requires the ability to balance strong governance and risk discipline with the commercial realities of a fast-moving, guest-centric hospitality business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Governance & Risk Leadership

Lead the regional governance and Enterprise Risk Management framework, ensuring alignment with Group strategy, risk appetite, Board expectations and applicable regulatory requirements. Provide senior leadership with an integrated view of strategic, operational, financial, regulatory, technology, people and reputational risks, including emerging and systemic risks that could materially affect the Group.

2. Regulatory Compliance, Ethics & Integrity

Provide executive oversight of the regional compliance and ethics framework, encompassing anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, conflicts of interest, competition, third-party integrity, data privacy, regulatory obligations and the Group's Code of Conduct. Strengthen the organisation's speak-up culture and ensure material compliance breaches, misconduct allegations and investigations are handled independently, consistently and appropriately escalated.

3. Hospitality & Operational Risk

Provide GRC leadership across the Group's hospitality operations, including guest and employee safety, food safety, fire and life safety, property and asset risk, hotel licensing, fraud, payment controls, workforce risk, security and business interruption. Partner closely with hotel operations and General Managers to ensure governance protects both the guest experience and enterprise value.

4. Technology, Cyber, Data & AI Governance

Partner with Technology, Cybersecurity, Data and Digital leadership to strengthen governance of cybersecurity, guest and employee data, digital platforms, payment systems, cloud infrastructure and third-party technology. Establish appropriate governance for the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence, balancing innovation with privacy, security, regulatory compliance, human oversight and accountability.

5. Third-Party, Owner & Partner Risk

Strengthen governance across the Group's broader hospitality ecosystem, including hotel owners, operating partners, suppliers, agents, consultants and strategic partners. Establish proportionate due-diligence, monitoring and escalation frameworks for higher-risk counterparties, jurisdictions and transactions while recognising the commercial dynamics of managed, franchised, owned and leased hotel models.

6. Crisis Management & Organisational Resilience

Lead the regional governance framework for crisis management, business continuity and enterprise resilience. Ensure the organisation is prepared for major operational disruptions including natural disasters, geopolitical events, pandemics, cyber incidents and significant safety or security events, with clear escalation protocols, crisis simulations and post-incident learning.

7. Executive, Board & Risk Intelligence

Provide concise, forward-looking governance and risk insights to the Regional President, Group Executive Leadership and relevant Board and Audit & Risk Committees. Develop meaningful Key Risk Indicators, dashboards and scenario analyses that translate complex risks into clear business implications and enable better strategic and operational decision-making.

8. GRC Transformation, Culture & Leadership

Lead and develop a high-performing regional GRC organisation while embedding risk ownership across the business. Modernise fragmented governance, policy, risk and compliance activities into an integrated, technology-enabled GRC architecture that strengthens accountability, organisational capability and sustainable growth.
