We are working with a leading global retail organization that is expanding its finance team in Singapore. This newly created role offers the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and play a key part in shaping the regions financial planning and analysis framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead regional and cross-functional finance initiatives, ensuring timely delivery aligned with business objectives.
- Act as the main liaison between local finance teams and global headquarters, providing swift and accurate responses to ad-hoc requests.
- Consolidate monthly financial results for the region, conduct analytical reviews, and deliver meaningful commentary for both regional and global leadership.
- Collaborate with country finance teams to analyze key variances, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Support the design and implementation of a centralized FP&A operating model and contribute to process improvements.
- Track and monitor KPIs against budgets, highlighting variances and supporting follow-up actions at the country level.
- Standardize financial reporting structures, templates, and narratives to enhance clarity, consistency, and efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to optimize reporting processes, improving accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and refine budget and forecasting templates, consolidate submissions, and prepare presentations for senior management.
- Drive the implementation of a centralized rolling forecast process, ensuring timely updates for global stakeholders.
- Contribute to strengthening financial governance through the development of a regional controllership structure.
- Provide support and troubleshooting on Hyperion HFM and other financial reporting tools to regional and country teams.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy or a recognized professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA Singapore).
- At least 8 years of progressive finance experience, including exposure to FP&A, controllership, and commercial finance within international retail or FMCG environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, intellectually curious, and adaptable, with a strong initiative-driven mindset.
