Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage regional finance operations across Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand), including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing for all regional entities
- Review and oversee preparation of financial statements, management reports, and analyses
- Oversee preparation and submission of statutory accounts across the region
- Act as the primary Finance liaison for all SEA sites
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of approximately 11 Accountants and Senior Accountants
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies
- Review, implement, and enhance finance workflows and internal controls
- Drive process standardisation, automation, and efficiency improvements across the region
- Oversee tax and regulatory filings, working closely with tax agents and local authorities
- Coordinate with external auditors to support audits and ensure timely statutory filings
- Perform other finance-related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
- Minimum 10 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably within Manufacturing or Logistics
- At least 3 years of experience leading a finance team
- Experience managing manufacturing operations in Malaysia and familiarity with Malaysia tax and regulatory requirements is highly preferred
- Experience in process optimisation and finance transformation is an advantage
