Our client is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations for entities in Southeast Asia, while being based in Singapore.
This role will lead the month-end closing, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and internal control processes across both markets, while managing and guiding the in-country accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Oversee full spectrum accounting functions, including month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing for the assigned entities.
Review and ensure accuracy of financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reports.
Manage, develop and guide local finance teams in the SEA entitles, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accounting transactions in the system.
Monitor accounts receivable processes, including collections, billing issues, credit notes, and receivables aging.
Oversee inventory reconciliation and costing processes, including review of purchase price variances and inventory provisions.
Support cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and coordination with corporate treasury where required.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and shared service providers on audit and tax matters.
Ensure strong internal controls and financial governance are maintained across the entities.
Partner with internal stakeholders to provide technical accounting guidance and support on operational finance matters.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, with strong exposure to full set accounting and financial reporting.
Prior people management experience, ideally managing regional or remote finance teams.
Experience working within multinational environments and coordinating across multiple countries.
Familiarity with SAP and Oracle Hyperion is highly preferred.
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
Detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight reporting timelines.
