Regional Finance Manager

We are seeking a Regional Finance Manager to oversee regional financial operations and provide strategic financial leadership across multiple entities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making at a regional level.

The successful candidate will be required to communicate regularly with stakeholders in Japan, including headquarters and external partners. As such, proficiency in Japanese is required to perform the role effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of regional financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP, Japan GAAP, and local statutory requirements.

• Enhance liquidity management, centralise cash positions, and oversee intercompany funding in line with tax and transfer pricing regulations.

• Ensure compliance with Singapore statutory requirements, coordinate external audits, and implement audit recommendations effectively.

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

• Strengthen internal controls, streamline finance operations and reporting workflows, and lead the finance team to maintain high performance standards.

Requirements

• CPA qualification with at least 7 years of relevant experience in a regional or group finance role.

• Strong expertise in preparing and consolidating multi-entity regional and group financial reports. Working knowledge of IFRS, Japan GAAP, and US GAAP in a multi-jurisdictional or regional reporting environment.

• Proven experience managing relationships with international banks and using treasury platforms.

• Ability to independently oversee end-to-end finance operations in a complex, multi-entity environment.

• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• High level of integrity and professionalism, with strong attention to detail and project management skills.

• Proficiency in Japanese is required to communicate with Japan-based stakeholders and to interpret financial and regulatory materials originating in Japan.
