Job Description

Job purpose:

Regional Distribution Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and optimising Phoenix Contact's channel partner network across Southeast Asia to drive sustainable revenue growth and market penetration.

This role focuses on channel strategy, distributor performance management, partner capability development, and regional alignment, while ensuring consistent execution of Phoenix Contact's sales strategies, pricing policies, and go‑to‑market approach across the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement regional channel management strategies aligned with Phoenix Contact's business objectives.
  • Identify, onboard, and develop strategic channel partners (distributors, system integrators, resellers).
  • Define partner segmentation, coverage models, and channel roles to maximise market reach and effectiveness.
  • Ensure alignment with country‑specific sales strategies and pricing frameworks.
  • Manage and review channel partner performance against agreed business targets (sales targets, pipeline, coverage, competency).
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key partners to drive growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support partners in key account development, opportunity management, and project execution.
  • Resolve channel conflicts and ensure healthy partner relationships across the region.
  • Drive achievement of regional sales targets through channel partners.
  • Monitor sales forecasts, pipeline health, and conversion rates.
  • Provide coaching, support and collaboration to partners on complex B2B / solution‑based selling.
  • Collaboration with Sales Product Marketing, Application and Marketing Communication teams to equip partners with the right tools and content.
  • Support regional and local marketing events, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and channel performance.
  • Provide structured feedback to management and Sales Product Marketing on market needs, pricing, and competitive positioning.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales and channel performance reports as required.

REQUIREMENT:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Engineering / Business or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, with at least 3 years in channel or distributor management.
  • Experience managing regional channel partners in Southeast Asia is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of channel sales models and distributor management.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic and structured sales execution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross‑cultural communication capability.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required.
