Title: Regional Director of Quality – Manufacturing (Global MNC in Equipment Manufacturing)

Our client is a leading global organisation in the equipment manufacturing sector, recognised for engineering excellence, strong customer partnerships, and a commitment to continuous innovation. As part of their growth and operational excellence journey, we are seeking a highly experienced Regional Director of Quality to lead the Quality function.
The Role
You will be responsible for defining and executing the site Quality strategy to ensure products, processes, and systems meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of Quality professionals covering Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, Systems & Compliance, and Continuous Improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the site Quality organisation, building a strong culture of quality, ownership, and accountability.
- Oversee product quality performance from incoming materials through manufacturing and final shipment.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, customer and industry standards (e.g. ISO/TS/sector-relevant certifications).
- Drive Quality Management Systems (QMS) performance, including audits, CAPA, risk management, documentation, and process controls.
- Lead problem-solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, HSE and Commercial teams to align quality objectives with business priorities.
- Manage customer quality engagement, including complaint handling, escalations, reporting and preventive actions.
- Provide Quality leadership for new product introduction, engineering changes and technology transfers.
- Track, report and improve key Quality KPIs, including yield, defect rates, scrap, returns and customer satisfaction.
- Champion operational excellence and lean practices across the Quality function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in Quality within a manufacturing environment, ideally in equipment or industrial products.
- Experience in high mix low volume manufacturing processes in machining, casting, precision metal stamping and fabrication would be highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, standards and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams and shaping a high-performance culture.
- Experience in root cause analysis, statistical techniques and continuous improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong business acumen.
