JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced leader with strong technical expertise to lead and grow a data centre and technology industry practice and deliver complex insurance solutions for clients across Asia.

The position is ideal for someone who can combine industry expertise, strategic client leadership, to drive insurance strategies and support hyperscale, colocation, edge, and enterprise data centre operators across Asia.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape risk transfer strategies for some of the most complex and capital‑intensive assets globally, while positioning the firm as the broker of choice in the sector.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Broking Strategy

  • Lead and execute the firm's digital infrastructure risk advisory and insurance placement strategy in line with our the global digital infrastructure strategy.
  • Drive insurance tender responses for regional data centre opportunities, crafting commercially competitive proposals.
  • Build and maintain a best‑in‑class digital infrastructure practice, integrating construction, operational, cyber, and contractual risk review capabilities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, departments, and countries, to align risk transfer strategy with clients business objectives.
  • Act as the industry figurehead, representing the firm at client boards, industry forums, conferences, and insurer engagements.

Client Advisory & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor to major data centre operators, hyperscalers, investors, developers, and lenders, providing insights on emerging risks and insurance implications.
  • Advise clients on risk identification, mitigation, and optimal risk transfer strategies across development, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
  • Support complex stakeholder environments including JV partners, PE funds, infrastructure investors, lenders, and regulators

Market Engagement & Placement

  • Identify insurers with appetite, technical capability, and capacity for data centre risks across the region.
  • Working with the relevant in-house specialty and retail heads, help lead negotiations with underwriters, leveraging detailed understanding of risk engineering and market expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with data centre underwriting teams globally.
  • Structure multi‑line, multinational programmes across all lines of insurances for data centres

Claims & Incident Advisory

  • Support pre-loss planning and claims protocols specific to data centre operations.
  • Work with the Claims team to guide clients through complex, high-severity claims and service-level-related events.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 8 years experience in the Digital Infrastructure space
  • Strong expertise in: Data centres, related cooling systems, power/energy systems related to the Data Centre operation
  • Knowledge of Tech E&O, Cyber Liability, Property/BI, CAR & DSU is an added bonus
  • MSA/SLA design, downtime obligations, and contractual liability frameworks
  • Lender requirements for project financing and insurance
  • Strong understanding of NatCat exposures and engineering-led underwriting considerations

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong commercial acumen and proven experience leading tenders or large placement programmes.
  • Ability to translate technical engineering and contractual complexity into clear advisory and broking strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across jurisdictions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to C‑suite and technical stakeholders.
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high levels of accountability.
