Job Description

Position Overview:

The Regional Director, Asia Pacific Region, will provide high-level leadership to strengthen, expand, and scale the impact of Prison Fellowship International (PFI) ministry partners across Asia Pacific, one of the organization's largest and most strategically significant regions.

This role requires a visionary, experienced leader capable of driving regional strategy, expanding partnerships, and growing National Ministry (NM) capacity. 

Core Responsibilities:

Regional Strategy: Develop and implement a regional strategy to expand PFI's market reach and penetration. This includes:

  • Recognize and leverage the strategic importance of the Asia Pacific Region in PFI's global mission. 
  • Identify new opportunities for expansion and collaboration in key nations.
  • Ensure regional alignment with PFI's global vision, mission, and policies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with National Ministries by providing the member services outlined in the charter agreement.  

 

Program Development: Increase the scale of PFI signature programs and evidence-based best practices throughout the region. This includes:

  • Oversee the implementation of PFI's signature program partnerships in one of its most complex and high-impact regions.
  • Serve as the primary trainer within the region for COE best practices. This includes training during Regional Forums, NM onsite visits, and virtual training events.
  • Strengthen strategic capacity-building frameworks to support the growth of National Ministries.
  • Develop pipelines of National Ministries qualified to enter formal PFI partnerships.

Fundraising: Increase financial investment in National Ministries throughout the region. This includes:

  • Coordinate, support, and/or host major donor vision trips.
  • Support PFI's donor engagement team as requested.

Leadership: Increase the development of ministry leaders throughout the region. This includes:

  • Support ministry staff across multiple countries.
  • Serve as a mentor, coach, and advisor to NM leaders.
  • Advise on governance structures to ensure the long-term sustainability of National Ministries.

Partnerships: Coordinate with PFI in the execution of strategic partnerships. This includes:

  • Assist PFI in the fulfillment of Gift-in-Kind commitments with strategic partners.
  • Representing PFI amongst high-level leaders and external meetings, strengthening its brand and influence.
  • Build regional alliances with governments, NGOs, and church networks to amplify impact.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership in a regional/global organization, ideally in a multi-country environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of organizational growth and high-level stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong financial management, fundraising, and donor relations expertise.
  • Mature Christian leader with a passion for serving, facilitating, and leading the Prison Fellowship mission.
  • Strong organizational development, program management, and goal-setting experience.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across all levels, including volunteers, staff, leaders, boards, and donors.
  • Fluent in English and willing to travel internationally (close to 30%).
  • Advanced degree in Business, International Development, Theology, or a related field, with proficiency in digital technology and remote collaboration tools.
