We are excited to be partnering with our client, a leading global travel retailer that offers travel retail, food, and beverage (F&B) services in over 5,000 locations across 70 countries. As part of their continued APAC growth, the organization is seeking to appoint a Regional Commercial Manager to lead and expand their operations across the region.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Regional Commercial Director, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong track record in business development and commercial management, combined with deep expertise in wholesale and distribution channels across APAC. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping growth strategies, driving market expansion, and building impactful partnerships across the region.
Key Responsibilites
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to expand wholesale business and distribution networks across APAC.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to drive revenue growth.
- Commercial Management: Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and profitability analysis for wholesale/JV accounts.
- Category Management: Ensure category consistency and visibility in wholesale channels, aligning with overall category strategy.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including distributors, retailers, and industry influencers.
- New Business Expansion: Supports Business Development Units to enter new markets and expand geographical presence within APAC.
- Lead Generation: Implement effective lead generation strategies to acquire new wholesale accounts and business opportunities.
- Inventory Management: anticipate customer's needs and market trends; regularly recalibrate in-stock position to align with expected needs
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in wholesale business management for product categories such as Liquor, Tobacco and Perfumes & Cosmetics
- Proven track record in business development and expanding market share, preferably within the APAC region.
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial principles related to wholesale and distribution.
- Strong data-mining, dashboard management and presentation skills. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and team collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with analytical abilities and a results-driven mindset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
