Singapore Crawfish — Regional Business Development Director
Singapore-based · Regional travel required · Immediate start
Role Overview Singapore Crawfish (SGCF) is seeking a Regional Business Development Director to convert your existing network of aquaculture and agriculture relationships into signed revenue. This is a conversion role, not a prospecting role: SGCF provides the product, government-backed track record, and technical support, you bring your network of customers ready to activate.
Role at a GlanceBase salary with commission
Start date: Immediate.
Contract: full-time employment or retainer plus commission
This Role This role is built for someone who earns the majority of their income through uncapped commission and has the relationships to convert from day one. SGCF has signed a US$4M national hatchery contract with the Government of the Philippines (2026), holds an equity stake in a sovereign joint venture in Bhutan worth USD10m, and maintains active relationships with agricultural ministries across five countries. Equipment is manufactured in-house through Hatch Hives Technologies at close-to-cost pricing, giving a real pricing advantage in every conversation.
Key Responsibilities — First 30 Days
Present SGCF's technology and product range to existing contacts across agri companies, farmers, distributors, ministry contacts, and aquaculture operators. Identify the two or three fastest paths to a signed deal from current relationships. Submit a 60-day pipeline plan with named accounts, estimated deal values, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities — Ongoing Open and close equipment sales, farm setup contracts, hatchery build projects, and government supply agreements across the region. Represent SGCF at ministry level, pitching food security programmes and hatchery infrastructure to agricultural agencies. Develop distributor and reseller relationships in markets where direct selling isn't efficient. Work with SGCF's technical team to produce proposals, term sheets, and project scopes for larger deals. Report pipeline, deal status, and market intelligence weekly to the founder.
Candidate Profile Formal qualifications are not a factor, the requirement is a demonstrable, activatable network capable of generating revenue. Target backgrounds include aquaculture equipment sales (hatchery systems, RAS, aeration, automated feeders, water treatment), aquaculture feed and nutrition sales, aquaculture health and inputs (vitamins, probiotics, medicines, water conditioners), agricultural machinery and farming inputs sold at scale, government agricultural affairs (former ministry officials or food security programme managers), farm development and consulting, and cold chain, logistics, or seafood trading with existing farm-operator relationships.
Track record requirements: personal, direct sales experience to farms, distributors, government agencies, or agribusiness operators not team management; an existing, activatable contact database of buyers, ministry officials, farm operators, or distributors; at least one single transaction closed at US$100,000 or above; sales experience across at least two Southeast Asian countries; and comfort operating across ministry meetings, village cooperatives, and boardrooms in the same week.
Geographic focus: primary markets are Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia; secondary markets are Europe, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka; Middle East experience (Saudi Arabia, UAE) is advantageous.
What SGCF Provides A product already validated at government level in five countries. Equipment manufactured at close-to-cost pricing for a genuine competitive edge. A documented 400% farmer income uplift model backed by case studies from China and Asia. Full technical and engineering support behind every sales conversation. Direct founder involvement in closing sovereign-level and ministerial deals. Uncapped commission with no internal territory or account-ownership politics. The credibility of existing sovereign projects in Bhutan and the Philippines.
How to Apply Candidates should send a message highlighting your EXISTING CONTACTS IN THE RELEVANT INDUSTRIES ALONG WITH YOUR CV, answering: what industry have you been selling in, and for how long; what is the largest single deal you have personally closed, and who was the customer; which country or countries is your network strongest in, and what type of contacts do you have there; and a list of contacts (names only, no contact details).
