Position Review
We are seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Director to lead our international market expansion initiatives and drive sustainable revenue growth across designated regions.
This role is responsible for identifying high-potential market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, developing regional distribution channels, and delivering strong commercial outcomes aligned with corporate growth objectives.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional business development strategies to support international market expansion.
- Identify and assess new market opportunities, customers, and strategic partners through structured market research and industry analysis.
- Lead the end-to-end business development process, including market entry planning, opportunity evaluation, commercial negotiations, and implementation support.
- Establish and manage overseas distribution channels and regional partnerships, ensuring ongoing performance monitoring and relationship development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and ecosystem partners to drive long-term collaboration.
- Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, legal, compliance) to support effective deal structuring and execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments, providing regular insights to senior management.
- Support regional capability development and resource planning to strengthen business development performance.
- Ensure all activities align with internal governance and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, International Trade, Finance, Economics, or any related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commodities trading, international business development, regional expansion, cross-border trade, or market entry strategy.
- Proven track record in revenue growth, pipeline development, and partnership management.
- Strong understanding of international trade practices and commercial structuring.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required for communication with management in China.
- Established industry network is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a performance-driven environment.
