The Regional Business Development Director is responsible for leading and executing the Group's regional growth strategy across multiple markets. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, driving cross-border expansion, forming strategic partnerships, and delivering sustainable revenue growth aligned with the Group's long-term objectives.
Regional Strategy & Market Expansion
Develop and implement regional business development strategies across assigned markets.
Identify high-potential countries, sectors, and investment opportunities for expansion.
Lead market entry strategies, including feasibility studies, risk assessments, and go-to-market plans.
New Business & Partnerships
Source, evaluate, and secure regional business opportunities, joint ventures, acquisitions, and strategic alliances.
Lead high-level negotiations, commercial structuring, and deal closures with regional partners and stakeholders.
Oversee proposal development, tenders, and investment submissions for regional projects.
Client, Investor & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with regional clients, investors, government agencies, and strategic partners.
Represent the Group at regional business forums, trade events, and industry meetings.
Strengthen the Group's brand presence and credibility across regional markets.
Revenue Growth & Performance Management
Drive regional revenue targets and ensure consistent pipeline growth across markets.
Monitor performance of regional business development initiatives and report to senior management and the Board.
Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and risk management requirements across jurisdictions.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and guide regional business development teams and country managers (where applicable).
Work closely with internal teams including finance, legal, operations, and project teams to ensure successful deal execution.
Establish best practices, processes, and performance standards across regional markets.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Real Estate, or related disciplines (MBA is an advantage).
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in business development, strategy, or investment roles, with at least 5-7 years in a regional or senior leadership position.
Proven track record in regional expansion, cross-border deals, and high-value negotiations.
Strong understanding of ASEAN / Asia-Pacific markets, regulatory environments, and cultural dynamics.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
