The Regional Head of BCM, APAC is accountable for defining, governing, and overseeing Business Continuity Management (BCM) for Contract Logistics across the APAC region.
The role ensures that BCM frameworks, plans, and capabilities are consistently implemented across countries and sites, aligned with Group standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations. This position provides regional leadership and direction through senior functional leaders, ensuring BCM is embedded into processes, systems, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives within Contract Logistics.
Define and drive the APAC BCM strategy for Contract Logistics in alignment with Group BCM policies and standards.
Establish regional BCM governance, reporting structures, and escalation processes.
Act as the regional point of accountability for all BCM-related matters within Contract Logistics.
Provide strategic direction and oversight across the following functional areas to ensure BCM requirements are embedded and sustained:
Project Management & Training
Ensure BCM considerations are incorporated into regional and country-level CL projects and change initiatives.
Oversee BCM training, awareness, and capability development across APAC.
Application & Integration
Ensure critical applications, system integrations, and dependencies supporting Contract Logistics operations are identified and documented for BCM purposes.
Oversee alignment of system recovery requirements with BCM objectives.
Process Engineering
Ensure critical Contract Logistics processes are documented, analysed, and supported by appropriate continuity and recovery procedures.
Drive standardisation of BCM-related process documentation across APAC.
CIP & Process Optimisation
Ensure BCM findings, incidents, and test outcomes are translated into continuous improvement actions.
Reduce single points of failure through structured improvement initiatives.
Oversee completion, review, and maintenance of Business Impact Analyses (BIA), risk assessments, and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across APAC Contract Logistics.
Ensure compliance with Group BCM standards, customer contractual requirements, and local regulatory expectations.
Support internal and external audits, customer reviews, and assurance activities related to BCM.
Define regional requirements for BCM testing, simulations, and crisis exercises within Contract Logistics.
Review outcomes of BCM tests and exercises and ensure corrective actions are tracked and closed.
Report BCM readiness and maturity to regional and global stakeholders.
Act as the regional BCM lead for Contract Logistics during significant operational disruptions.
Support country and site management teams in BCM activation and coordination during incidents.
Ensure lessons learned are documented and incorporated into BCM plans and processes.
Partner closely with APAC Contract Logistics leadership, country management, and functional heads.
Interface with Global BCM and Group Risk to ensure alignment and reporting.
Support customer-facing BCM discussions, tenders, and audits where required.
