Job Description

Job Summary

The Account Manager manages financial and accounting records for overseas units, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. You will record transactions accurately, coordinate with external advisors on statutory requirements, and provide financial insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial and accounting records for assigned overseas units in compliance with national, international, and local regulations and company policies
  • Record all revenue and expense transactions accurately and timely to maintain reliable financial data
  • Monitor, verify, and record all revenues and expenses for assigned units according to Turkish law, local country legislation, and company accounting standards
  • Ensure transactions are entered into the accounting system accurately and in line with approvals, circulars, and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Coordinate with external financial advisors to fulfill local statutory and regulatory requirements and follow up to ensure timely completion
  • Stay updated on changes in local and international regulations affecting assigned units
  • Identify irregularities, discrepancies, or process issues, report them to appropriate authorities, and follow through to resolution
  • Propose improvements to systems and workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Process and verify payments based on approved orders and company procedures
  • Monitor unit expenses against annual budgets and alert management of potential overruns to enable corrective action
  • Support central coordination of receivables with the relevant HQ unit
  • Prepare and submit accurate financial and statistical reports for assigned units regularly
  • Maintain complete and auditable records for all activities
  • Participate in corrective and preventive actions, implement process changes, and attend required trainings
  • Contribute to achieving department and company targets in line with established policies
  • Communicate with external institutions, authorities, service providers, and manufacturers as assigned, with management approval, keeping your superior informed

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role, preferably in a multinational or aviation-related environment
  • Solid understanding of Turkish accounting and tax regulations
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Integrity and strong sense of confidentiality

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience handling overseas or multi-country accounting
  • Familiarity with international accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of local regulations in the countries assigned
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities across time zones
