Job Summary
The Regional Accountable Manager leads operational, commercial, and people performance across Singapore and Malaysia. This role drives business growth, ensures customer stability, and leads regional expansion including new workshop setups.
Responsibilities
- Lead and take full accountability for operational performance across Singapore and Malaysia to achieve business objectives and growth targets
- Align operations, quality, safety, and commercial goals to ensure cohesive regional performance
- Act as the primary escalation point for major operational and customer issues to resolve conflicts effectively
- Oversee daily operations of all workshops, ensuring productivity targets, manpower planning, and operational efficiency are met
- Enforce compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards, maintaining audit readiness at all times
- Lead end-to-end setup of new workshops, managing infrastructure readiness, staffing, training, and regulatory compliance to ensure operational efficiency and audit readiness from inception
- Directly manage Operations Managers, Quality Managers, and key leaders by setting clear expectations and holding them accountable for results and behaviour
- Address underperformance promptly through coaching or corrective actions to maintain team effectiveness
- Own ultimate responsibility for audit outcomes and corrective actions, embedding quality and compliance into daily operations
- Drive revenue growth by retaining and strengthening relationships with key customers and identifying new business opportunities
- Manage regional cost control, budgeting, and resource utilization while providing accurate operational inputs for forecasting and investment decisions
- Collaborate closely with HR and Finance while retaining operational ownership
- Provide regular performance and risk reporting to the Owner, escalating risks early and implementing mitigation plans
- Ensure clear documentation of decisions and accountability to minimize rework or reversals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Minimum Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least 5 years experience working in a Managerial capacity.
Other Information
Remuneration framework:
- Base Salary: SGD 6,000 - 10,000 per month, depending on experience, industry background, and expansion capability
- Variable / Performance Bonus linked to operational stability and audit outcomes, customer retention, financial performance, and successful launch of new workshops
