Job Summary
Kiat Lay Cold Room Specialist Pte Ltd seeks a skilled technician to maintain, repair, and install industrial refrigeration systems, respond to customer issues, and coordinate with team members to ensure reliable cold room operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems to maintain optimal system performance and reliability
- Diagnose and repair faults in industrial refrigeration systems to restore functionality promptly
- Install new industrial refrigeration systems according to specifications and safety standards
- Respond quickly and effectively to ad-hoc customer complaints to resolve issues and maintain satisfaction
- Communicate clearly with Coordinators, Supervisors, and Engineers to coordinate work orders and resolve technical problems
- Collect payments for Cash on Delivery (COD) and Work Orders (WO) accurately and professionally
- Advise customers on service contracts, necessary repairs, and system replacements to support informed decisions
- Maintain the company van/lorry by performing regular upkeep and reporting any issues
- Drive the company van/lorry safely to transport equipment and materials to job sites
- Complete additional duties assigned by management to support team goals
Required competencies and certifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (3A driver license)
- Minimum 2 years of experience servicing and repairing industrial refrigeration systems
- High school diploma or equivalent (N Level or equivalent)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Technical certification in refrigeration or HVAC
- Strong knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems, components, and best practices
- Electrical skills relevant to industrial refrigeration system maintenance and repair
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills applied to refrigeration system issues
- Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy equipment safely
