About the Role
We are seeking a Receptionist to support the day-to-day front desk and administrative operations of a primary school located in Yishun. The role involves attending to students, parents, visitors and service providers, handling general enquiries, providing administrative support, and assisting with basic first-aid matters when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations and attend to students, visitors, contractors and guests
- Handle incoming calls and enquiries, and provide accurate information in person, by telephone or email
- Maintain sign-in and attendance records for contractors, enrichment trainers and CCA instructors
- Receive, sort and distribute mail, parcels and courier deliveries
- Pack and distribute materials and collaterals received from relevant agencies
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, scanning, laminating and faxing
- Provide basic first-aid attention to students who are unwell or injured, and inform parents where necessary
- Maintain a neat and presentable reception area
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the school
Requirements
- Minimum Secondary-level education
- At least 1 year of experience in a school-based front desk or receptionist role, with general administrative experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Able to communicate effectively with students, parents, visitors and other stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Basic first-aid knowledge would be an advantage
- Organised, responsible and able to manage front desk duties professionally
Work Arrangements
Contract Duration: 1 January 2027 - 31 December 2028 (24 months)
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
- Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
- No work required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Salary: S$1,800 - S$2,000 per month, commensurate with experience
