Job Summary
You will manage front-desk reception duties and provide administrative support in a school environment. Your role includes welcoming visitors, handling communications, supporting school events, assisting students, and maintaining records to ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors professionally and maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area to create a positive first impression
- Answer telephone calls and attend to walk-in customers, accurately recording customer-related information such as phone logs
- Perform daily administrative tasks including documentation, data entry, and managing correspondence with school staff, students, parents, and vendors
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and goods delivery, and perform filing and photocopying tasks efficiently
- Issue workstation keys, stationery, and teaching materials to staff as needed
- Provide administrative support for school events and programmes to ensure smooth execution
- Assist students by managing lost and found items, handling uniform changes, and helping locate teachers, classrooms, or parents
- Administer basic first aid to students with minor injuries and communicate updates to parents promptly
- Maintain accurate records of lost and found items and spare uniforms
- Perform any other duties assigned to support school operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficient in MS Office to perform data entry and documentation tasks
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with visitors, staff, students, and parents
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in reception counter or administrative duties, preferably in a primary school environment
- GCE O Levels or equivalent qualification
Other Information
- Working hours: Mondays to Thursdays, 7:00am to 4:15pm (including 45-minute lunch break) Fridays, 7:00am to 3:45pm (including 45-minute lunch break)
