Job Description

Location: Toa Payoh, Singapore
Contract Duration: 1 August 2026 to 31 December 2027
Salary Range: S$1,800 to S$2,000 per month, subject to experience and qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a Receptionist cum Admin Assistant to provide front desk, customer service, sick bay, first aid, and administrative support in a primary school environment.

The role involves attending to visitors, parents, students, and members of the public, managing incoming calls and enquiries, supporting sick bay operations, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with day-to-day administrative and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service and Front Desk

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, parents, and members of the public.
  • Attend to walk-in enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure the reception area is kept neat, tidy, and presentable at all times.

First Aid and Sick Bay

  • Attend to students requiring first aid assistance and administer basic first aid where necessary.
  • Oversee daily operations and upkeep of the sick bay.
  • Ensure the sick bay is clean, well-stocked, and properly maintained.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance and first aid records.

Administrative Support

  • Assist in documenting and reporting incidents occurring on school premises.
  • Liaise with teachers on matters relating to delivery and acceptance of goods.
  • Manage the uniform loan system, ensuring loans and returns are properly tracked.
  • Undertake other administrative or operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE O-Level qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer service, front desk, or administrative support role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally in written and spoken English for front desk and administrative duties.
  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with staff, students, parents, and members of the public.
  • Candidates must possess valid work authorisation in Singapore at the point of application.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Standard First Aid certification or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a primary school environment.
  • Ability to support communication with students, parents, or vendors in additional languages may be advantageous where operationally required.

Work Arrangements

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 7.00am to 4.30pm, inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break
  • Fridays: 7.00am to 4.00pm, inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break
  • Non-Working Days: Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
  • Venue: On-site at a primary school in Toa Payoh
