Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage detailed rebar schedules based on structural drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret construction drawings (BRC, structural, and shop drawings) to extract accurate rebar quantities and cutting lists.
  • Coordinate with structural engineers, BIM teams, and site personnel to ensure accuracy and constructability of rebar detailing.
  • Generate bar bending schedules (BBS) and monitor revisions in accordance with project changes.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely fabrication and delivery of rebar materials.
  • Track and control rebar usage, minimizing wastage and optimizing material utilization.
  • Verify rebar installation on-site against approved drawings and schedules.
  • Maintain proper documentation of schedules, revisions, and material records.
  • Support project planning and progress tracking related to rebar works.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in rebar scheduling, quantity take-off, or structural works in building and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures and rebar detailing practices.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Excel, and BIM tools (e.g., Revit) is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and shop drawings accurately.
  • Good coordination and communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Working Location:

  • Initially based at the West office.
  • Will be deployed to the Bayfront site office upon project commencement.
