React v18 / Redux Engineer - Contract Software Engineer - Banking

Role: Software Engineer
Duration: 6 -9 mths contract
Location: East , Singapore (Onsite)

. Communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audience.

. Earn good reputation of being technically strong in the organization by solving problems others struggle

. Development and delivery of frontend applications using React (TypeScript, Redux, Routing, Hooks, Context, Suspense).

. Understand business / system requirements and translate them into technical solutions that are scalable, stable and fit for purpose.

. Tackle very complex legacy defects that mediocre developers cannot analyse/solve.

. Ensure adherence to the bank standards (including code, security and performance).

. The role provides exposure to Wealth Management systems.

. Analysis, designing, coding, and implementation of complex and custom-built applications.

. Work collaboratively with team to achieve goals. Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum.

. Investigate and resolve production issues to help maintain a stable production environment remain cool and effective in crisis.

Technical - Must Have:

. 8+ years experience in Frontend development with React 18 or newer TypeScript, Routing, Hooks, Context, Suspense,

. State management solutions, e.g. Redux

. Affinity to user experience / keen eye for high quality UI and UX

. Ability to proactively work with stakeholders across the organization

. Strong computer science knowledge (algorithms, data structures, system design)

. Unit and integration testing

. Familiar with standard frontend code editors and tools, e.g. Visual Studio Code, Chrome DevTools

. Basic Linux shell scripting commands

. Familiarity with Git, DevOps systems
