Job Scope
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and mammography in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, positioning, and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring it functions safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to radiation safety principles and infection control guidelines to protect patients and staff.
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy before submitting them for physician review.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging results.
- Maintain proper documentation, patient records, and imaging logs in accordance with hospital and regulatory policies.
- Participate in quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) programs to ensure imaging accuracy and equipment reliability.
- Assist in training and guiding junior radiographers, students, or new staff members.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to departmental initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and patient care.
- Stay updated on advances in radiologic technology and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
