Responsibilities:
- Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards.
- Ensure examination is performed to the correct patient and observes radiation safety rule and respective procedural consents.
- Ensure the quality of the recording medium and printed copies of images on paper are of optimal quality before releasing to the doctors and patients.
- Ensure that the examination code entered into the system corresponds to the examination requested.
- Explain the examination to the patient, what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it.
- Ensure patients safety, physical and emotional well-being is taken care of during and after the examination.
- Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.
- Perform daily QA procedures on equipment according to manufacturers recommendations to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions.
- Full-Registration with Allied Health Professions Council.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging facility.
- Experience in angiography and its related fields are preferred.
- Those with previous experience in managing modality areas will be considered for senior position.
