R&D Power Electronics Engineer (Battery Charger)
Key Responsibilities:
. Development of power electronics for battery chargers.
. Topology selection, circuit design, component selection, and power loss calculations.
. Schematic and PCB layout design.
. Creating and executing test and verification plans.
. Ensuring safety and certification compliance.
. Promptly resolving design issues.
. Liaising with various stakeholders.
. Effective communication within a diverse team.
Requirements:
. Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
. Minimum of 5 years experience in power electronics design.
. Proficiency in topology selection, circuit design, component selection, and power loss calculations.
. Experience in CC/CV charger systems and working on power supplies with power levels 500W.
. Previous experience of using wide bandgap devices will be a plus.
. Knowledge of digital and analog control methods will be a plus.
. Working experience in schematic design and PCB layout software, e.g. OrCAD, PADS, or other equivalent software
. Familiar with simulation tools, e.g. LTspice, PSIM, or other equivalent software
. Acquainted with test equipment such as AC/DC source, electronic load, oscilloscope, and soldering iron.
. Experience in volume manufacturing.
