THE COMPANY
Our Client is a renowned organisation in the Medical Device industry with a strong presence within APAC. They are looking for an R&D Director as part of their expansion plans within the region, reporting directly to the CEO.
THE ROLE
The R&D Director is responsible for:
- Lead multidisciplinary R&D teams in developing innovative medical device systems, ensuring safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Define product architecture, technology roadmap, and research strategy aligned with business goals.
- Oversee design controls, risk management, verification/validation, and documentation in accordance with ISO 13485 and relevant regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Clinical, Marketing, and external partners to ensure smooth design transfer and product launch.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of R&D experience in similar industry with leadership of complex system development.
- Strong knowledge of design controls, regulatory requirements, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
