R&D Design Engineer | Medical Devices | East

Our client is a leading local medical devices contract manufacturer. They are looking for an R&D Design Engineer to support the development of a new project, focusing on the design and development of innovative medical devices.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and evaluate medical device products from concept to production
• Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and prepare engineering documentation
• Perform design verification, problem-solving, and product improvement activities
• Ensure designs comply with relevant technical standards and quality requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development and manufacturing transfer

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering
• Minimum 2-3 years of R&D or product design experience in the medical device industry
• Hands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CREO
• Knowledge of technical standards such as ASME and JIS
• Experience in prototype development, testing, and design documentation
• Familiarity with simulation software or data analysis tools (e.g. Minitab, DOE) will be an advantage
