Job Summary
You will perform quantity take-offs, prepare cost estimates and Bill of Quantities, source materials, manage contract documentation, and support tender preparation to ensure accurate project costing and smooth contract execution.
Responsibilities
- Perform measurement and quantity take-offs using Cubicost Software to support accurate project costing (training provided)
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BQ), and quotations to facilitate budgeting and tendering
- Source materials and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to optimize project costs
- Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to support procurement decisions
- Prepare variation orders and progress claims to ensure timely contract adjustments and payments
- Participate in tender preparation to contribute to competitive and compliant bid submissions
- Attend site show-rounds and coordination meetings
- Manage contract documentation in compliance with contractual requirements to maintain project integrity
- Maintain organised filing of project documents to ensure easy retrieval and audit readiness
- Support ad-hoc tasks as needed to assist project and contract management functions
Requirements
- Diploma in Building Services, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Electrical or M&E works.
- Able to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Meticulous, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines.
- A team player with good communication skills
