Job Description & Requirements

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in steel structural works, including I-beam fabrication, C-channel assembly and erection activities. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Singapore-based projects and be proficient in billing, claiming, and cost control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and manage progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for steel components including I-beams, C-channels, bracing systems, and connection details
• Evaluate subcontractor claims
• Monitor and track project budgets, cost control, and ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
• Work closely with the project team, contractors, and clients to ensure timely billing and collection of payments.
• Review contract terms and advise on commercial and contractual risks.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore building regulations, BCA standards, and workplace safety practices.
• Participate in site visits and progress meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in steel structural building projects in Singapore.
• Strong understanding of Singapore construction contracts, regulations, and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, measurement software (e.g., CostX), and other QS tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
