Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform take-offs and prepare cost breakdowns, including material calculations for on-site requirements.
• Assist the Operations Manager with work planning, scheduling, and manpower allocation.
• Prepare method statements for structural document submissions based on project requirements.
• Review and assist with safety documentation (Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures).
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and main contractors for seamless work execution.
• Attend site and technical meetings to ensure smooth project progress.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to the main contractor, and verify subcontractor progress claims.
• Work closely with client representatives to resolve day-to-day site discrepancies.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in steel related works.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost estimation and Microsoft Office Tools, Familiarity with contract documentation and construction drawings.
• Core Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage budgets, conduct cost analysis, and oversee quantity take-offs.
• Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to work both independently and in teams.
