Since 1986, Synergraphic has created hundreds of features in glass and mixed media for projects in more than 15 countries, with landmark locations including St Regis Singapore, Partners Monument at Taipei 101 and the Crystal Pyramid in Brunei.

Who We Are Looking For

At this stage of our business we are looking to grow strategically, and are focused on seeking out individuals in every department of the company who are passionate, sharp, initiated and willing to take on challenges to help drive the business forward together as a team. We are now searching for an experienced and dependable Quantity Surveyor to support projects of every scale, contribute to Synergraphic's growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority. The ideal candidate will have technical experience in such projects, in particular Glazing works, to deliver on our projects. 

Your Responsibilities Include

  1. Calculations on sizes, material costs and all other costs pertaining to a project, for the purpose of tender estimation and quotes
  2. Attend preliminary sales and site meetings to obtain briefs, drawings from clients
  3. Prepare documents and design drawings for submission and presentation to and approval by clients
  4. Upon confirmation of projects, to liaise and co-ordinate with relevant parties including owners, architects, suppliers, designers, engineers, main and sub-contractors, our own site and factory personnel for work progress and timely deliveries
  5. Source for suppliers and materials with at least 3 quotes to get the best quotes for purpose of submission and costs control
  6. Preparation of project costing summary for approval by supervisor / management
  7. Prepare documents for submission of progress claims
  8. Prepare and consolidate all supplier and material data master and monitor all project costing with variance report
  9. Be available for urgent calls and attendance at site where required

Technical Skills

  • Min. Diploma in any QS discipline, or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Building Materials Industry
  • Preference for experience on glazing projects
  • Use of AutoCAD and all relevant Microsoft software
  • Excellent knowledge of construction materials and methods
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel
  • Able to read technical drawings, do detailed work with great accuracy
