What you'll be doing
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and financial reports for construction projects
Analyse drawings, specifications and other project documentation to quantify materials, labour and equipment requirements
Negotiate and administer subcontractor and supplier contracts
Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for optimisation and savings
Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates for projects and tender submissions
Provide cost advice and recommendations to project managers and clients
Contribute to the development of standardised estimating processes and templates
Collaborate with the construction team to resolve commercial issues that arise during projects
Attend site show round, site meeting and tender interview
What we're looking for
2 - 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
Proficiency in the use of estimating software and other relevant digital tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
