Job Summary
Manage quantity surveying tasks including tender preparation, cost estimation, and contract administration to support successful project delivery in building and civil engineering sectors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including detailed bills of quantities, to support accurate bidding processes
- Independently perform precise cost estimation to inform project budgeting and financial planning
- Conduct quantity take-offs for tender submissions to ensure accurate material and resource planning
- Prepare final accounts to reconcile project costs and support financial closure
- Manage monthly progress claims to track project financial status and cash flow
- Certify sub-contract works to verify compliance with contract specifications and quality standards
- Collaborate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, surveyors, and sub-contractors to coordinate project requirements and resolve issues
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or equivalent from a recognized university
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or related roles
- Proficient knowledge of government projects, building construction, and mechanical & electrical (M&E) works
- Strong understanding of local rules and regulations applicable to construction projects
- Demonstrated ability to handle quantity take-offs and tender documentation accurately
