QUANTITY SURVEYOR x 2 (Both roles based on East Side)

Our client is a respected Civils contractor in Singapore, who often gets awarded projects off the back of their fine reputation for delivering on previous projects. They have a healthy pipeline of projects with tenders in place for more.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Tender and Contract Management:
- Study and identify discrepancies in tender/contract documents and raise queries for clarifications.
- Prepare and call for quotations, analyze and evaluate costs for tendering, and negotiate and award subcontracts.
- Support the completeness and timely submission of tender bids.
2. Cost Management:
- Prepare cost budgets, track changes in design/construction work, and adjust budget projections accordingly.
- Certify and evaluate progress work done, including contract administration for variations in both subcontract and main contract works.
- Assess and submit monthly progress claims and recommend subcontractor's monthly progress payments.
- Finalize subcontract and main contract's final accounts.
3. Project Administration:
- Liaise with main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and other parties involved in the project.
- Quantity take offs, C&S/Archi take offs, procurement.
- Prepare project budgeting and costing reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and project administration, including preparation of interim valuations, pricing, and agreement of contract variations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Educational Background:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 3-7 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably with experience in LTA/MRT projects.
- Solid experience with A1 Main Contractors in Singapore.
Skills:
- Proficiency in construction management, quantity surveying, and cost control.
- Strong negotiation, procurement, and tendering skills.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and building drawings.
- Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Other Requirements:
- Must be in Singapore to attend face-to-face interviews.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
These roles are crucial for ensuring the financial and contractual aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects are managed efficiently and effectively
