Job Summary
You will prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and project financials to ensure effective cost control and contract administration. Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and clients to support successful project delivery and tender processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BQ) to support project planning and financial management
- Monitor and control project costs by tracking expenditures and comparing against budgets to ensure financial targets are met
- Evaluate progress claims and variation orders to assess accuracy and compliance with contract terms
- Assist in tendering processes by preparing documentation and supporting contract administration activities
- Prepare monthly cost reports and final accounts to provide transparent financial updates to stakeholders
- Liaise effectively with consultants, contractors, and clients to facilitate communication and resolve cost-related issues
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Basic knowledge of construction contracts and costing principles to support accurate financial assessments
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings for cost estimation and project evaluation
- Proficiency in MS Excel to analyze and manage project data experience with Quantity Surveying software is advantageous
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage with project stakeholders and support contract discussions
- Fresh graduates are welcome prior experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management is advantageous
