Job Summary
Expertise in quantity surveying to manage tendering, cost estimation, and contract administration for interior fit-out and renovation projects, ensuring accurate measurement, cost control, and timely submission of tenders.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of tendering processes for commercial, industrial, retail, and residential interior fit-out projects to prepare and submit compliant tenders within deadlines
- Measure quantities accurately to prepare progress claims, quotations, and final claims for projects
- Perform pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties including cost control, variation management, and final cost finalization
- Analyze and prepare detailed costing for tenders to support competitive and profitable bids
- Source and evaluate new vendors by compiling and reviewing quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality
- Summarize subcontractor and material prices and evaluate and certify contractors claims to maintain project budget integrity
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimations to support contractor and supplier sourcing decisions
- Assist project teams in managing contractual matters such as extensions of time and expense claims to mitigate risks and resolve issues
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Building Services, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of experience in interior design, renovation, or building industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
