We are seeking a specialized Quantity Surveyor to manage costs for our Geotechnical Engineering and Soil investigation projects. You will oversee budgeting, take-offs, variation orders, and contracts specifically related to piling, soil stabilization, earth retention systems, and site investigations. Your primary goal is to minimize financial risk arising from unpredictable ground conditions.

Role Requirements
Analyze soil reports and geotechnical data to estimate project risks and costs.
Calculate exact quantities for earthworks, shoring, piling, and ground improvement.
Prepare specialized Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for underground engineering works.
Source and evaluate competitive quotes from specialized drilling and piling subcontractors.
Conduct regular site measurements and valuations of completed groundworks.
Track and manage variations caused by unexpected soil conditions or rock obstructions.
Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, forecasting ground engineering expenditures.
Manage the commercial impact of site delays caused by water tables or soil instability.
Administer main contracts and subcontracts to ensure legal compliance.
Assess and negotiate latent ground condition claims and change orders.
Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of site logs, boring tests, and depth variations.
Handle dispute resolutions regarding underground scopes of work.
