Company Overview
Our client a leading engineering company with a significant global presence. They specialize in a broad range of electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications engineering services for various sectors, including building, industrial, and infrastructure projects. As they continue to drive growth and expansion, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Electrical), to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review comprehensive proposal and budget estimates for new contracts and tenders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance with tender and contract policies and guidelines, ensuring industry best practices.
- Liaise and negotiate effectively with clients, vendors, main contractors, subcontractors, and consultants regarding project requirements and costs.
- Work closely with the tender team to prepare accurate and competitive tender submissions.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in evaluating quotations, assessing variation orders (VOs), escalations, and abortive work, as well as precise quantity measurement and final account reconciliation.
- Manage all aspects of cost preparation, rate rationalization, and maintain an updated cost data library.
- Oversee contract administration, including progress claim preparation and variation order preparation, through to final account.
Key Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience, with prior cost estimation experience in a M&E construction environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with excellent coordination and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the capacity for critical analysis and creative solution identification.
- High level of initiative, ability to work independently, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Well-versed in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit/Cubicost is preferred.
- Willingness to work at ourTuasproject site transportation pickup available from designated MRT stations.
