Quantity Surveyor (Electrical & Instrumentation) E

Job Description

• Report to Project manager / Site manager
• Administer contracts for various projects to be implemented
• Taking-off quantities for tendering/site project - Approved for Construction (ARF measurement)
• Responsible for pre-tender/site project estimates and preparation of all pertinent documentation
• Good concept and knowledge of forming realistic unit rate, star rate
• Conduct tender/site project exercises for sub-contracting, including evaluation and award of contracts
• Source for suppliers and prepare cost comparison aligning to tender procedures
• Prepare construction plan and schedule, manpower and equipment requirements
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress report for each project
• Responsible for claims, variation orders, budget and cost control as well as settlement of the final account

Job Requirement

• A diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant QS discipline
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Healthy and physically fit for site activities
• Good knowledge and experience in project costing and estimating
• Good negotiation skill
• Well versed in the preparation of drawings
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of using various MS Office applications, including Project Management software
