Job Duties
Prepare quantity take-off, cost estimation, and budgeting for projects.
Monitor project costing and ensure expenses remain within budget.
Verify subcontractor progress claims, supplier invoices, and variation orders (VO).
Prepare tender documents, quotation comparisons, and cost analysis reports.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and monitor material delivery schedules.
Coordinate with site personnel to ensure timely procurement of materials.
Track and reconcile material usage and inventory on site.
Maintain procurement records, cost reports, contracts, and supporting documents.
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams regarding costing and purchasing matters.
Attend site meetings and support project progress coordination.
Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and quality requirements.
Assist in contract administration and project documentation.
Monitor market pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
Degree / Diploma in Building / Quantity Surveying / Civil / Structural Engineering.
1 to 3 years relevant experience as Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Knowledge of construction materials, contracts, and procurement procedures.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and cost control skills.
Detailed, with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, good team player and able to meet tight deadline.
