Job Summary
Assist and collaborate with the contract manager and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery under tight deadlines for bill pickup and design for project tendering. Support project cost management and materials sourcing. Occasionally assist the Project Team with project management and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tender documentation including Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Rates, and Contracts to support project bidding
- Perform take-offs, measurements, design calculations, and Bill of Quantities preparation to ensure accurate project costing
- Coordinate project tenders, material quantity pick-offs, tabulation, and manage addendum or amendment notices in liaison with the Contract Manager
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms
- Source project materials and services to meet specifications and timelines
- Respond promptly and accurately to queries related to project tenders and quotations
- Assist the Project Team with project management and documentation as requested to support project delivery
- Manage workload independently and maintain performance under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Execute additional duties as assigned to support project and company objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in Related Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant project tendering experience including at least 1 year of on-site project management in the local construction industry
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) services
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD software
- Effective communication skills to engage all organizational levels and demonstrate high initiative
- Motivated, responsible, and able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
