Job Description

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities

. Administer main contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and contractual documentation.

. Review contract terms, drawings, specifications and identify commercial risks.

. Prepare quantity take-offs, measurements, cost estimates and project cost reports.

. Prepare and verify progress claims, payment applications and subcontractor claims.

. Monitor project costs, commitments, budgets and cost forecasts.

. Identify, evaluate and submit variations, claims and other commercial entitlements.

. Prepare and maintain variation, claims, payment and contract registers.

. Review and evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotations and commercial proposals.

. Assist with tender pricing, cost comparisons and commercial submissions.

. Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Finance, subcontractors and clients on commercial matters.

. Assist in subcontract negotiations, final accounts and resolution of commercial issues.

. Prepare monthly commercial reports and highlight cost risks to management.

. Handle preparation and submission of progress claims/payment and variation orders of projects.

. Liaise with Clients on progress payments and VO matters.

. Evaluation and certification of suppliers/sub-contractors progress payments.

. Evaluates and verifies sub-contractors variation orders.

. Provide monthly update of project costing.

Requirements:

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in QS, contracts or commercial functions, preferably in construction/civil Engineering/ERSS.
  • Good knowledge of quantity measurement, costing, contract administration and subcontract management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and documentation skills.
  • Able to work independently and coordinate with project teams.
  • Willing to travel to project sites when required.
  • Able to work independently or as a team with following deadline.
  • Meticulous and Accuracy.
