Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all contract administration and commercial functions across assigned projects.
- Review and interpret contract terms, conditions, and obligations to ensure compliance and mitigate contractual risks.
- Provide guidance on contractual rights, obligations, and claims to project teams and management.
- Oversee tender evaluation, procurement strategies, and negotiation of subcontracts and supplier agreements.
- Manage variation orders, progress claims, extensions of time, and final account settlements.
- Advise on contract law matters, cost exposure, and potential disputes, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor project cost performance and support cost control initiatives.
- Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders on contractual and commercial issues.
- Prepare and review contractual correspondences and documentation to safeguard company interests.
- Mentor and provide direction to QS and contract administration staff.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration and commercial management
- Proven track record in managing commercial or institutional building projects
- Strong knowledge of contract law, PSSCOC, and public sector procurement frameworks.
