Job Description

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (S Pass eligibility)
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Skills in quantity take-off, project costing, progress claims, tendering, procurement, contract management, and warehouse/stock control
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint


Job Summary

Prepare and manage cost estimates, quantity take-offs, tendering, procurement, contract administration, and stock control to support project delivery and financial tracking in a civil engineering context.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and quantity take-offs for tenders and ongoing projects to support budgeting and bidding processes
  • Assist in tender preparation and manage procurement activities to ensure cost-effective sourcing and compliance with project requirements
  • Review contract agreements and manage contract variations, claims, and final accounts to mitigate risks and ensure contractual compliance
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to verify project requirements and maintain effective communication channels
  • Verify contractor invoices and claims, prepare progress payments, and track billing schedules to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions
  • Maintain accurate inventory and stock records using Excel to support warehouse and stock control functions
  • Generate monthly and annual stock reports and conduct stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and control
  • Assist with submission of required documents to clients and government authorities to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Follow up with clients for payments and coordinate with the internal Finance Department to facilitate cash flow management
  • Provide weekly sales and bank reports to support financial monitoring and decision-making
  • Support general administrative and accounting tasks as assigned to contribute to team operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the team leader to support project and organizational objectives


Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD to support technical drawing and project documentation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to facilitate stakeholder engagement
  • Mature attitude and willingness to learn for continuous professional development
