Quantity Surveyor (6-Month Contract/ Construction / Cleanroom Projects)

• Position: Quantity Surveyor (6-Month Contract/ Construction / Cleanroom Projects)

• Location: Mapletree Hi-Tech Park @ Kallang Way

• Working hours: 5.5-day work week, office hours

• Salary (commensurate with experience) : Up to $7500

• Duration: Employment Type: 6-month contract -Convertible to permanent employment or extendable based on work performance

• Industry: Construction / Cleanroom Engineering

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions for assigned construction and cleanroom projects.

• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications and site information.

• Source, evaluate and obtain quotations from subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.

• Prepare tender pricing, cost comparisons, bills of quantities and commercial proposals.

• Administer contracts, including progress claims, payment certification, subcontractor claims and final accounts.

• Assess, price and submit variation orders, extension-of-time cost implications and additional works.

• Monitor project costs, committed costs, cash flow and cost-to-complete against approved budgets.

• Work closely with Project Managers, site teams, consultants and subcontractors to resolve commercial and contractual matters.

• Prepare regular cost reports, project forecasts and management updates.

• Support negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Maintain complete commercial records, including quotations, contracts, claims, variation documentation and correspondence.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of relevant QS experience in construction, interior fit-out, M&E, cleanroom or specialist engineering projects.

• Strong experience in cost control, tendering, variation assessment and contract administration.

• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.

• Good knowledge of subcontractor management, progress claims and final-account processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS or costing software.

• Meticulous, commercially aware and able to manage multiple deadlines.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Able to travel to project sites when required.
