Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare cost estimates for tender projects, incorporating value engineering and pricing analysis.
- Support new projects by analysing contract terms, identifying risks and opportunities, and preparing competitive quotations from specialists/sub-contractors.
- Collaborate with the procurement team on complex contracts, ensuring alignment with policies and legal standards.
- Draft, review, and issue contracts and agreements between stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare claims for Extension of Time and associated costs in collaboration with external consultants.
- Advise on equitable adjustments, contract disputes, and claims management with clients and subcontractors.
- Provide management with consolidated reports on claims defense and contractual compliance issues.
- Ensure timely processing of upstream claims and updates to project budgets, while certifying subcontractor claims.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Proven track record in tendering, bidding, and pre-contract management.
- Involvement in all phases of contract management from pre- to post-contract stages.
- Strong expertise in foundation and RC structural works for medium to large-scale building projects.
- In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, and commercial management.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
