Context:
Mercuria is currently expanding its derivative trading business in Asia and is looking to hire a quantitative strategist in Singapore. This role will work closely with derivative trading desk, risk, credit and other teams across the company to provide pricing models and analytical tools for trading and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop in-house pricing and risk management library
- Develop state-of-the-art pricing models for options and exotic derivatives
- Work with trading desk to provide quantitative analysis for the pricing and risk management of option and exotic derivatives trades
Technical qualifications and skills:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including Numerical Method, Partial Differential Equation, Stochastic Calculus, Probability and Stochastic process
- Strong programming skills, proficient in python, C/C++ or C#
- In-depth knowledge in derivative pricing theory and modelling (options, exotic derivatives etc.)
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
Profile:
- Msc.in mathematics or financial engineering
- Previous experience in developing derivative pricing models
- Previous exposure as a front-office quantitative analyst at a multinational commodity trading firm or international banks
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
