Quantitative Researcher

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative research to develop data-driven insights, models, and forecasting tools.
• Analyse large datasets using statistical, mathematical, and machine-learning techniques.
• Build, test, and refine quantitative models for prediction, optimisation, or risk assessment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., data scientists, engineers, product teams) to implement research findings.
• Perform backtesting, validation, and performance evaluation of models.
• Prepare research reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, behavioural patterns, or domain-specific data to identify new opportunities.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability throughout the research pipeline.

Requirements

• Degree or advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related quantitative fields.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
• Solid understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning, and quantitative analysis.
• Experience working with large datasets, data pipelines, and analytical tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate research into practical applications.
• Familiarity with financial markets (for finance roles) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
