Graviton Research Capital is expanding its global risk function and hiring a Senior Risk Manager in Singapore. You will play a key role in overseeing trading risk across markets and designing controls that enable safe, scalable growth across our quantitative strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Monitoring & Analytics
- Monitor real-time and end-of-day risk across multiple trading strategies and asset classes.
- Conduct post-trade analysis to identify drivers of P&L, risk, and drawdowns.
- Develop and maintain quantitative risk models for intraday exposure, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
- Assist with backtesting, calibration, and validation of risk analytics using high-frequency datasets.
Limit Frameworks & Governance
- Design and maintain position, exposure, and P&L limit structures.
- Manage limit change workflows, approvals, and audit trails.
- Support automated alerts and escalation procedures.
Reporting & Insights
- Produce daily and intraday risk reports for management.
- Provide clear, actionable insights based on market behaviour and model results.
- Contribute to capital allocation and portfolio-level risk decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with technology teams to enhance data pipelines, dashboards, and monitoring tools.
- Work with compliance and regulatory teams to ensure adherence to exchange and jurisdictional rules, including kill switches, throttles, and self-trade prevention.
- Maintain strong communication channels with trading and quantitative research.
What we're looking for:
- 4–7+ years of experience in trading risk, market risk, operational risk, market-making, or quantitative trading environments
- Strong understanding of trading strategies, market microstructure, and how risk manifests in fast markets
- Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or similar quantitative field
- Proficiency in Python; familiarity with Linux, C++, SQL, and large-scale data handling is beneficial
- Ability to communicate clearly with traders, engineers, operations, and senior leadership
- Strong judgment under time-sensitive and high-pressure situations
